Modular Ambience: Workshop and Performance

SLC-6 presents: Ann Annie & Constant Shapes
Modular Ambience: Workshop and Performance

Portland’s Ann Annie utilizes synthesizers to explore soothing “landscapes for listening.” Organic and synthetic textures mix in a meditative and energizing live set with heartfelt melodies and moments of virtual stillness.

Constant Shapes is a new project by LA up and comer Griffin Paisley exploring synths, field recording and experimental sound processing. Griffin’s numerous dance music releases contain an uplifting and melodic atmosphere. Constant Shapes explore these same spaces in an ambient context.

Participants in this workshop can experiment with modular synthesizers and learn anything from the basics to advanced techniques.

Modular synthesizers are gaining popularity for their exploratory nature and unique sonic flavor, from deep generative soundscapes to noisy crushed rhythms.
Join two contemporary modular artists for a night of meditative ambient music, synthesizer exploring and tea drinking.
