Featuring large-scale paintings and sculpture by UC Santa Barbara MFA candidate Toni Scott, this exhibition will be held from February 1-25, 2018 in Studio D and E and include excerpts from multiple series, including Origins and She Ma. Origins is reflective of Scott’s African ancestry, while She Ma relates to her indigenous heritage as a member of the Muskogee nation. Much of Scott’s art references bloodlines—the ties that bind her to her ancestors. This exhibition is curated by Maiza Hixson.
